Whether you have an established sourdough starter, or you’re just beginning to step into the sourdough world, this easy cracker recipe will replace store-bought crackers.

Ingredients + tools:

  • 350 g sourdough starter

  • 3 tbsp melted butter

  • dried herbs (i used herb d’ Provence), about 1 tbsp

  • salt, I prefer a quality flake salt

  • cookie sheet

  • spatula or dough scraper

Cooking:

  • preheat oven to 325º F

Directions:

  • Preheat oven

  • melt butter and slightly cool

  • weigh out 350g sourdough starter

  • combine starter, butter, and dried herbs

  • pour onto cookie sheet. you may use baking paper.

  • spread into a thin layer. sprinkle salt over top

  • bake for 10 minutes. pull out and score the sheet of dough into squares using a knife or dough scraper. return to oven

  • cook for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden.

  • when done, remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before pulling squares apart.
