sourdough crackers
Whether you have an established sourdough starter, or you’re just beginning to step into the sourdough world, this easy cracker recipe will replace store-bought crackers.
Ingredients + tools:
350 g sourdough starter
3 tbsp melted butter
dried herbs (i used herb d’ Provence), about 1 tbsp
salt, I prefer a quality flake salt
cookie sheet
spatula or dough scraper
Cooking:
preheat oven to 325º F
Directions:
Preheat oven
melt butter and slightly cool
weigh out 350g sourdough starter
combine starter, butter, and dried herbs
pour onto cookie sheet. you may use baking paper.
spread into a thin layer. sprinkle salt over top
bake for 10 minutes. pull out and score the sheet of dough into squares using a knife or dough scraper. return to oven
cook for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden.
when done, remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before pulling squares apart.
